What is PCI DSS?
The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is a result of collaboration between Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB to create common industry security requirements. Other card companies operating in the U.S. have also endorsed the standard within their respective programs. The foundation of PCI DSS is made up of 12 requirements:
Build and Maintain a Secure Network
